Heating Controls & Thermostats

Help with room thermostats, programmers, smart controls and heating-control faults where the boiler or heating system is not responding as expected.

What we can help with

Heating controls and thermostats

Room thermostats

Fault finding and replacement where a thermostat is inaccurate, unresponsive or no longer controlling the heating correctly.

Programmers and timers

Help with heating schedules, programmers and timer controls that are difficult to use or no longer switching reliably.

Smart heating controls

Support with suitable smart-control upgrades and the heating-side work needed to integrate them correctly.

Motorised valves

Fault finding where zone or hot-water control may be affected by a motorised valve or actuator.

Wiring-centre symptoms

Heating faults where the controls call for heat but the system does not respond as expected.

Control upgrades

Practical upgrades where older controls are limiting comfort, scheduling or system performance.

How we approach it

Diagnose the control chain before replacing parts

A heating-control fault can sit with the thermostat, programmer, valve, wiring centre or the appliance itself. We work through the control sequence so parts are not replaced just because they are easy to see.

Local coverage

Service across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire

LDM Group UK covers Farnborough, Frimley, Camberley, Aldershot, Fleet, Farnham and surrounding areas. Availability depends on the type and location of the job.

Questions

Heating Controls & Thermostats FAQs

Can you replace an old thermostat with a smart thermostat?

Often yes, but compatibility depends on the boiler, wiring and existing control setup. We check that before recommending a product.

Why does my thermostat say it is heating but the radiators stay cold?

The thermostat may be calling correctly while a valve, wiring, pump or boiler-side fault prevents heat reaching the system. That is why diagnosis matters.

Can you help if only one heating zone is not working?

Yes. A single-zone problem can point toward that zone's thermostat, valve, actuator or wiring rather than a whole-system fault.
