Bathroom plumbing

Bathroom jobs we can help with

Not every bathroom job needs a full refurbishment. We regularly deal with individual plumbing faults, replacements and alterations where the aim is to repair or improve a particular part of the room.

Basins and taps

Replacing or repairing basin taps, wastes, traps and accessible pipework.

Toilets

Toilet repairs, replacement planning and associated cistern or connection work.

Bath plumbing

Bath taps, wastes, traps and accessible supply or waste pipework.

Shower plumbing

Plumbing-side shower repairs, exposed valves, connections and small alterations.

Pipework alterations

Moving or adjusting accessible hot, cold and waste pipework for a revised layout.

Small fixture changes

Changing individual sanitary fittings where the existing services and surrounding finishes allow.

How we approach it

Work around the room you already have

Bathroom plumbing often has to fit around tiles, furniture, boxing and existing pipe routes. We look at what can realistically be changed without creating avoidable damage.

If the job needs building, tiling, electrical or specialist waterproofing work beyond the plumbing scope, we’ll make that clear before the work starts.

Useful to know

What can change the scope of a bathroom plumbing job

The visible fixture is only one part of the job. Hidden pipework, wastes, valve condition and finished surfaces can affect how straightforward a change will be.

Hidden pipework

Pipes behind tiles or boxing may restrict where a fitting can be moved without opening finishes.

Waste positions

Basin, bath, shower and toilet wastes need suitable falls and connection routes.

Old isolation valves

Valves can seize or leak when disturbed and may need replacement.

Customer-supplied fittings

New fixtures need to be dimensionally and hydraulically suitable for the existing arrangement.

Questions

Bathroom plumbing FAQs

Can you replace just one bathroom fitting without doing the whole room?

Yes. Many jobs involve a single toilet, basin, tap, waste or other plumbing item rather than a full bathroom refurbishment.

Can you move a basin or toilet?

Sometimes. The feasibility depends on the hot, cold, waste and soil pipe routes and what access is available.

Can you fit bathroom items I supply?

Usually, provided the fittings are suitable for the space, existing plumbing and intended use. We can flag obvious compatibility issues before fitting.

Do you also do tiling and decorating?

The page covers the plumbing work. If a change requires separate tiling, decorating or other finishing work, that should be allowed for separately.
